The AreaThe location is what makes Sunnyside a great place
for a holiday. Situated in West Wight , the most beautiful part of the island, it
is walking distance from the ferry at Yarmouth (about 1 mile along the coastal path or similar through Fort Victoria country park.) The Isle
of wight coastal path actually runs through the holiday park.
Sunnyside is situated at Brambles chine, on the cliff top above Colwell bay. Between Fort Albert at Cliff end and Warden point near Totland. As can been seen on the map.
We are often asked 'How far to the beach and is it sandy?'.
Set in the West Wight it is the prettiest and most unspoilt part of the Island with the nearby Alum Bay with its coloured sands,
fun park, simulator, Alum Bay glass and gift shops. Also close at hand are the local shops, riding stables, golf course and the picturesque harbour town of Yarmouth.
It is a 20 min walk into Freshwater with its shops, Post Office and supermarkets. There is also a sports centre with courts and a swimming pool; and Chinese and Indian takeaways. Buses stop at the end of Monks lane and at Brambles farm. from here Buses will take you to Yarmouth in about 10 minutes or going the other way, 15 minutes to get to Alum bay
and the Needles or Totland which has an interesting collection of Antique and junk shops..
There are many walks you can do in the area This Web Site shows some of them.
